Interior Designer Opening

the essential details

Campfire & Co.’s interior designer will participate in creating functionally beautiful and branded interior environments for our commercial clients. This person will be an experienced interior designer and have some familiarity with branding. The successful candidate will approach projects with a passion for problem solving, taking initiative, and communicating thoroughly. This role demands a multi-talented designer capable of managing small projects with minimal direction.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work on projects in all phases of design through construction and install, including but not limited to:

  • Schematic Design, 3D modeling, CAD drawings, FF&E sourcing, procurement and scheduling

  • Work collaboratively with the team to create and present design ideas including CAD drawings, mood boards, FF&E, surface materials, color palettes, and lighting

  • Generate 3D models in SketchUp

  • Generate construction drawings in CAD

  • Provide design support and administration during completion and execution of design concepts

  • Source and work with outside vendors to procure and coordinate all furniture, fixtures, & accessories

  • Manage multiple projects at once and communicate effectively with both clients and the team

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of Interior Design experience

  • Degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, + Adobe Creative Suite

  • Experienced with graphic design principles

  • Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications

  • Knowledge of design requirements, construction methods and materials for commercial environments

  • Great at follow through and communication

  • Comfortable working independently and with a team

  • Reliable transportation and willing to travel

  • Confident and ambitious

 

BONUS POINTS FOR

  • Familiarity with Google Docs, Dropbox, Slack and Asana

  • Familiarity with IVY software for interiors purchasing

  • Experience designing signage and/or wayfinding

  • Ability to help haul heavy samples and furniture items during presentations or installations

Operations Assistant Opening — This role has been filled as of 9/19/18

Campfire & Co.’s operations assistant will work hard to keep the office running smoothly and is comfortable doing administrative office tasks. This person also makes sure our employees and clients have everything they need to be comfortable, productive, and happy. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal direction. This role demands a strong sense of urgency–balanced with patience–plus the ability to juggle duties and switch between tasks on a moment’s notice.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Keep entire office orderly, organized and stocked with supplies

  • Purchase office supplies, materials, equipment, snacks, and refreshments

  • Assist in the planning, execution, setup, and breakdown of company events

  • Run office errands

  • Billing related tasks

  • Client onboarding tasks

  • Writing blogs and social media posts

  • Editing as needed - blogs, proposals, etc.

  • Project research - products, etc.

  • Assist team with miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of experience in a professional office or in an administrative role

  • Ability to work up to 20 hours per week, with flexibility for additional hours if needed

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Ability to take initiative with minimal oversight

  • Great at follow through and communication

  • Strong ability to multitask

  • Reliable car and willing to travel

  • Ambitious and creative

  • Experience working with design teams

  • Familiarity with Google Docs, Dropbox, Slack and Asana

  • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop

  • Experience with Squarespace

  • Social media, blogging, and/or editing experience

  • Ability to help move / install furniture and accessories for interior projects
