Thank you 2018, Hello 2019!
We wanted to take a moment to reflect on a few of our favorite moments of 2018. With changes both big and small, it was definitely a memorable year.
more memorable moments
Chelsea Glowacki joins us as our boss of all things coordination and organization. We lovingly refer to her as our ‘ops’ girl. She’s making the office run smooth as butter.
Sarah Schmetterling hoped on board as ‘da best’ intern. Hailing from New Jersey, Sarah’s experience and eye for design has been a huge asset to us during this growth phase.
We bid farewell to an incredible designer and dear friend Kasha Killingsworth. She’s now living her best life in Philly with the Urban Outfitters HQ team. We hope they know how lucky they are to have her! <3
** Oh also — we are actively growing our team as I type! Check out our open interior design position here! **
We won some awards!

Putting a Bow on the Year
We closed 2018 with 50 of our friends and clients at a bash at The Jasper’s Miracle on Cary pop-up. Hoping to start a new annual tradition, we also created our first ever client yearbook. From the freshman to the seniors, we couldn’t have done it without a class of incredible clients who truly value design in their pursuit of opportunity and innovation.
We are refocusing our effort from planning a small biz conference towards writing a book! This book will combine the best insights from our workshop series with a yearly planner, creating something you can refer back to and refine over time. We're hoping to launch it early next year and will attempt to squeeze in a few small workshops in between now and then. Thoughts, ideas, feedback? We're all ears!
campfire in new places
We are actively seeking projects with clients outside of Richmond who have creative ideas and value design as an essential aspect of growing a biz. Know of someone we should talk to? Please do share!
getting on stage
We have some thoughts to share! From our experience working with hundreds of growing businesses, we’ve learned a few best practices and creative ways of making stuff happen. If you’d like to have us speak at your event, we’re interested!
