Hound Paint & UpVote Virginia Win Branding Awards

CAMPFIRE & CO. TAKES HOME TWO BRANDING AWARDS AT THE ANNUAL ‘RICHMOND SHOW’ PRESENTED BY AD CLUB

This past Friday, our team attended the annual Richmond Show, bringing together creatives from Richmond and surrounding areas to celebrate their exceptional talent and hard work. Creative professionals and students submit work for judging in the Advertising Show, the Interactive Show, the Design Show, the Production Show, and Student Show.

We’re thrilled to have two of our favorite projects from last year recognized for outstanding branding design.

Gold Award

Hound Paint

Founded by a paint chemist who was tired of seeing big brands over-charge for sub-quality products, Hound Paint was created to celebrate the power of paint with a premium quality formula at an accessible price.

Focused on millennials and new homeowners who are inspired to create a space they love but don’t always have access to large renovation funds, Hound Paint is inspiring creative DIY’ers to use paint to transform their world.

Silver Award

UpVote Virginia

UpVote Virginia is a democracy reform organization that believes civic engagement doesn’t end when an election is over. UpVote works to ensure voters have the tools they need to become active participants as their elected officials govern.

As a democracy reform organization, UpVote Virginia focuses on multiple issues related to making elections stronger and more equitable. Their analysis and advocacy always aims to answer one guiding question: Is this good for Virginia voters?

This year’s theme was Adage. What is an adage? It’s a proverb or short statement expressing a general truth. As advertisers, we tell stories and create culture. This year’s show pays homage to the golden age of advertising: the good, the bad—and the silly. Think kitschy, retro, and vintage styles echoing the 1950s - 1970s.

Thanks so much to the dedicated board members and judges at Ad Club for putting on this annual celebration of the best design and advertising work in Richmond!
