CATEGORY: RETAIL INTERIOR DESIGN
First Place – High Point Barbershop
The newest High Point location is designed to transport guests to a cozy yet hip place that balances modern design with historic details.
Signature High Point interior brand moments like the namesake floor tile, vintage inspired barber chairs, warm wood tones, and brass accents connect the interior the brands two other locations. Unique elements like the rounded mirrors and reception desk as well as the deep emerald paint in the entry make this location one of a kind.
CATEGORY: HOSPITALITY INTERIOR DESIGN
First Place – Emerald Lounge & Slurp! Ramen
Emerald Lounge and Slurp! Ramen is a unique dual concept restaurant and bar. The Emerald Lounge is a lush and tropical rum bar and Slurp! is a fast-casual noodle shop. The client was looking to design an experience that transported guests outside of their daily lives and beyond the typical bar or restaurant.
Dedicated to providing drinks, food, and an environment that is consistently exciting and immersive, the client wanted to bring that same passion and dedication to their interiors and branding.

Honorable Mention – YMCA Offices
YMCA is a beloved institution with a 150+ year history in Richmond. With a mission to help build healthy spirits, minds, and bodies, the YMCA is committed to making our community a better place to live, work and play. The design of the space is directly inspired by the brand’s values, organizational history, and visual identity.
Visitors are greeted by a warm reception area that uses a directional wood accent wall as a backdrop for the brand. Moving into the space, colors and materials are muted tones of the YMCA’s vibrant brand identity, creating subtle connections without overwhelming the space visually.
