Gather Richmond

Gather is a coworking community that provides a flexible and energizing atmosphere for individuals and businesses to do their best work while connecting, learning, and continuously growing.

Across the Richmond region, Gather has four locations: Arts District, Scott’s Addition, Short Pump, and Midlothian The design of each features a collection of signature Gather branded interior design moments in combination with one-of-a-kind details that speak to each location’s context and neighborhood. See Gather’s Hampton Roads locations here.

Gather Midlothian

Gather’s Midlothian location includes all of the sought after amenities members have come to love, like community coworking, small huddle rooms and large training rooms, private offices, wellness room, and numerous nooks throughout for casual collaboration.

The Midlothian location design is centered around bringing the outside in, with a focus on the local mining history of the area. Considering motifs of tunnels and mined ores, the design team integrated arches, organic textures and shapes into the finishes, furniture, murals, and more.

Gather Arts District

Gather’s downtown Richmond location features 20,000 SF of private offices and community coworking in the vibrant downtown arts district. The branded interior design responded to the historic context of the building's architecture with a refined and muted color palette and organic materials that compliment the wood floors, brick walls, and open wood ceilings.

Details and artwork inspired by the heyday of Richmond’s department stores, like vintage artifacts, archival photography, and a mural inspired by the famous “Richmond 34” – a historic moment of civil disobedience to protest racial segregation at Thalhimer’s Richmond room – are found in the space.

Gather Short Pump

The design of Gather’s Short Pump location delicately balances a goal of maximizing the most profitable aspects of the business – renting private offices – with the ultimate goal of creating a space that was uniquely personal to the coworking brand.

The project created zones for collaboration, used neighborhoods as a wayfinding tactic, and layered in custom graphics, vinyl frosting, and wall paper to embody the brand’s personality throughout the 17,000 SF space.

Gather Scott’s Addition

Gather Scott’s Addition is designed with industrial elements and raw textures that evoke the neighborhood that it’s located within. As their second location, the Scott’s Addition space took advantage of important lessons learned like a front and center community kitchen space as guests enter and ensuring key branded moments to stop at during member tours.
